Privacy Policy
The short version. Built Dirty collects almost nothing. We have no analytics, no cookies, no ad pixels, no tracking scripts. When you email us, we get your email. When you buy a kit, Stripe processes the payment (we never see your card). When you fill an intake form, we get the business facts you put in it. That's the entire surface. To delete anything we have, email privacy@builtdirty.com.
1. Who we are
Built Dirty is a brand of Domus Antonia Lux LLC, an Alabama single-member limited liability company. We sell productized legal-stack templates, compliance audits, and trademark-filing help to indie iOS developers. "We," "us," and "Built Dirty" mean Domus Antonia Lux LLC throughout this policy.
2. What we collect
Three things, all volunteered by you:
- Your email. When you email us at
contact@builtdirty.com(or any other builtdirty.com address), we receive your email address and whatever you wrote. - Payment metadata. When you purchase a kit, payment is processed by Stripe. We receive a receipt with your name, email, and the kit you bought. We never see, store, or have access to your card details — Stripe handles all of that.
- Intake form responses. If you've paid for a kit, you'll fill in an intake form with facts about your business (LLC name, app description, data practices, contact emails, etc.). We collect those answers so we can render your deliverables.
3. What we don't collect
- No analytics. No Google Analytics, no Plausible, no Mixpanel, no anything. We don't know if you visited this page.
- No cookies. Built Dirty's website sets zero cookies. (Cloudflare, our hosting provider, may set a single security cookie called
__cf_bmfor bot management — we don't have access to its data and it expires when you close your browser.) - No ad pixels. No Facebook Pixel, no LinkedIn Insight Tag, no remarketing scripts.
- No fingerprinting. We don't try to identify you across visits, sessions, or devices.
4. How we use what we do collect
- To respond to your emails.
- To deliver the kit you paid for.
- To send the receipt and any kit-related follow-up (e.g., revision requests, retainer renewal reminders).
- To keep tax and compliance records for the period required by IRS and Alabama Department of Revenue (typically 7 years).
We do not use your information for advertising. We do not sell it. We do not share it with research partners. We do not feed it to any AI training pipeline.
5. Who we share it with
We share narrowly:
- Stripe. For payment processing. See Stripe's privacy policy.
- Cloudflare. Hosts this website and handles email forwarding for
builtdirty.com. See Cloudflare's privacy policy. - Our email provider. Inbound mail to
@builtdirty.comis forwarded to a personal inbox we use to read and respond. - Legal process. If served with valid legal process (subpoena, court order) in a jurisdiction where we operate, we may be compelled to disclose. We push back where we can.
We do not have advertising partners, research partners, or data licensees. Built Dirty does not generate the kind of data that would be useful to those parties.
6. Your rights
- Access. Email privacy@builtdirty.com and we'll send you everything we have on you within 30 days.
- Deletion. Same email, same response window. Note: we retain tax and engagement-related records for the period required by law (~7 years) even after you ask for deletion, but we won't use them for anything beyond legal recordkeeping.
- Correction. Email us. We'll fix it.
- Portability. Email us. You'll get a machine-readable copy.
For California residents: CCPA and CPRA give you the rights above plus a right to opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. Built Dirty does not sell or share personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of. This section serves as our CCPA Notice at Collection.
For Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, and Delaware residents: Your state has a privacy law modeled on CCPA. The rights above cover what each of those laws grants.
7. Children
Built Dirty sells services to founders and businesses. We don't direct services to anyone under 18 and don't knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe we have, email privacy@builtdirty.com and we'll delete it.
8. Retention
Email correspondence: retained while the conversation is active, then archived. Active business records (intake responses, engagement letters, invoices): retained 7 years for IRS and Alabama tax compliance, then deleted. Web server logs: retained ~30 days by Cloudflare for abuse and security purposes; we don't access them routinely.
9. International users
Built Dirty operates from the United States. If you're contacting us from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S. By engaging with us, you consent to that transfer.
10. Changes to this policy
If we make a material change, we'll update the "Effective" date at the top and email any active clients. The most current version is always at builtdirty.com/privacy.
